Cross-poles
Cross-poles are very inviting fences. They are normally the most-used training fences as they are lower in the centre so horses tend to jump them at the centre.
Set it up
Place two wings and make a cross out of two poles.
How to ride it
Allow with your hands slightly and let your horse find out the way to the fence. Don't lean too much over the fence as cross-poles normally aren't vert big. Remember to ride a straight getaway.
Too easy?
Raise the cross-pole. If your wings are really low (the ones I use have the maximum of 120 cm and it's sometimes really annoying), put some jump blocs or cavaletti behind the pole ends on the ground.
