Related distances (part 1)
This is the first part of my new related distances series. In this article, I'm going talk about straight related distances. Related distances are very similar to doubles, so I really recommend to check out the article about doubles and trebles, too.
5-strided related distances
Set it up
Build up two cross-poles roughly 5 strides apart.
How to ride it
Approach in trot and few strides before ask for canter. Jump the fences as lonely ones, but between them canter in a light seat.
Too easy?
Build the cross-poles to uprights with up to 50 cm. of height or reduce the distance to 4 strides.
Now, let's go harder!
3-strided related distances
Set it up
Take the second fence two strides closer the first one
How to ride it
Ride it equally as the first one, or build up a two-point position.
Too easy?
Build the fences to uprights with height up to 30 cm.
